The HONA kit provides all the essentials you’ll need to complete your case study, which is a required part of this course. Using HONA products and equipment will ensure you achieve optimal results and meet course standards.

 By booking courses either online or in person, you agree to the following:

  • You understand that the cost of the course is non-refundable.
  • Online courses have a 6-month time frame in which you can complete the course before your time expires - this cannot be renewed and if you do not finish in time, you will need to purchase the course again.
  • Only you can take your course, the named student, this is not exchangeable and cannot be passed on to someone else.
  • All courses are taught in English.
  • Once you have completed the course materials, you must provide a successful case study using HONA products before you are qualified. We require video evidence of your own original work. If HONA suspects that this is not your work, for any reason, you will be asked to resubmit and this could delay your qualification.
  • All our courses are ABT Accredited, which allows UK-based Nail Technicians to offer insurable treatments in the UK. If you will be practicing outside of the UK, please check with your regulatory body in your own state/country if this course will suit their requirements before enrolling.
  • Filming or screenshotting the course or recording of any kind is not permitted.
  • You confirm that you are 16+ years old. 

To complete your course and receive your qualification, you’ll need to submit an application video demonstrating each method taught in the course: nail prep, application on forms, tips, natural nail overlays and removal.

Your case study must show six nails in total:

  • 2 nails with a natural nail overlay
  • 2 nails with extensions using forms
  • 2 nails with extensions using tips
  • You must also include a safe removal demonstrated on one nail.

 Each method must be clearly shown in your video.

 Your video should include:

  • A top-down view of the finished nails
  • A side-profile view of the finished nails
  • The full video should be no longer than 20 minutes.
  • The application can be on either yourself or a model over 16.

Once submitted, an educator will review your case study, provide feedback, and issue your accredited qualification. Case studies are usually reviewed within two weeks. Full instructions on how to film and submit your case study can be found within your course.
